How It Works
The first thing you need to do is become a current member of the Berea Arts Council. Only Kentucky-based visual artists who are current members of the Berea Arts Council will be considered for exhibition.
Once your membership is active, complete the Exhibition Proposal Form below or visit https://form.jotform.com/210915151540041.
Next comes the review process, which takes place in two stages.
Stage One: All proposals will be reviewed by the Berea Arts Council Exhibition Committee for quality, content, and overall suitability. Applicants will be notified within 2–4 weeks if their proposal has been selected to move on to the second stage.
Stage Two: Selected artists will be invited to meet with the Berea Arts Council Exhibition Committee to discuss their work, creative process, and exhibition plans. These meetings are typically held at the gallery and provide an opportunity to review artwork in person and discuss the proposed exhibition in greater depth.
After the second-stage review is complete, artists will receive a final decision within four weeks. Accepted exhibitions will then be scheduled.
Please note that exhibition selections and scheduling are made at the discretion of the Berea Arts Council Exhibition Committee. Because annual exhibition schedules are planned well in advance, we appreciate your understanding regarding scheduling and availability.Exhibition proposals are accepted year-round, though gallery space is limited.

Artists must include 5–10 images of their artwork with their submission. Each image should include the artwork title, year created, materials used, dimensions, and price or value.
For video-based artwork, please include an accessible link to the work within the proposal form.
All proposal materials must be submitted electronically through the Exhibition Proposal Form. Only complete electronic submissions will be considered.
Links to personal websites or social media accounts may be included as additional resources, but they do not replace the required artwork images.
A current Berea Arts Council membership is required for all exhibition proposals to be considered.
